Hey—I’m Eric.

Or, Hooch as family calls me.

If a picture says a thousand words these photos tell a whole story; little pieces of where I’ve been, who I’ve been, and who I’m becoming.

I build things, I write things, and I move around a lot. Over time, those threads have started to braid together into something more intentional. Hooch is the name I’ve given to that space: a through-line between who I was and who I am becoming.

At its core, Hooch is a point of view. It’s about living well without overcomplicating things. Paying attention to routines. Choosing objects that last. Building days that feel steady and meaningful. Making room for movement, curiosity, and belonging without needing to label everything along the way.

This started quietly, through writing. Sundays from the Porch is where I collect and share short reflections on the everyday decisions that shape a life: rituals, objects, habits, places, and the thinking behind them. Nothing instructional. Nothing aspirational. Just observations from the middle of it.

Hooch isn’t separate from my life. It’s woven into it. It shows up in how I work, how I travel, how I create, and how I pay attention. Over time, it may take different forms. There may be products, spaces, collaborations, or something else entirely. I’m letting it grow at the pace it needs to.

For now, this is the practice:

showing up, noticing what matters, and building something honest from there.

If any part of that resonates, you’re in the right place.

Welcome and thanks for being here.

A collection of short reflections, where I've been, what I love, and what I know for sure.
